This is a power management component, with a very small footprint, that resembles laptop power management utilities which put the system into standby when the battery reaches a preset critical level.
Once the present threshhold is reached then an alert is initiated and a preset countdown is started.
At the end the system will turnoff, unless the PDA is connected to the power.
If power is supplied then the shutdown is aborted and the checks are reset.
This utility is far from user friendly, but it's small, it does what it says and it uses virtually no resources.
Known Issues/bugs:
- In VGA mode, status dialog incorrectly places the memory information.
- Not displaying the time remaining correctly in the taskbar on the following devices: Mio-168.
Update Description:
v2.2:
- Fixed some Dialog issues.
v2.1:
- Added Logging.
- Wouldn't go to sleep after connected to power and removed again.
v2.0:
- Configuration dialog.
- Taskbar icon w/battery update.
- Status window which displays some memory statistics and advanced power information, which includes a battery life estimation that relies on your power consumption rather than averaging past battery expectancy (as in some other applications).
v1.3:
- Added Cancel/Defer shutdown.
- Added Soft-Reset if the system fails to Auto-Suspend/PowerOff or if your PDA "just won't power-off". This feature will soft-reset your device to hopefully get rid of any resident applications/"features" and then power it off automatically. The system will soft-reset if the, power-off dialog isn't acknowledged 3 times in a row.
