» CourseLog v2 Description
This is CourseLogV2, an EWE application that runs under Windows Mobile 2005, WM 6 using your GPS receiver to tell you where you are, how long and how far you go and where you have been. This version 2 provides a great improvement : it displays your position on a map. You can insert as many maps as your device can handle, provided each one is small enough to be handled in memory. The software uses a concept of calibrated tiled maps, only a set of tiles is in memory at a time and switching between tiles is automatic.

The software also displays your track on the map and you can set waypoints to check your direction, distance, time to arrival. You can also re-use your track as waypoints and even reverse it so that you can find your way back ;-))

More information about maps and how program works you can read here

This is best Windows mobile software under GPS and very useful. It works well with MapKing. It is simple to load on Windows mobile and especially suited to HTCP3300 which I am using. I appreciate very much its working. Search place, database for storing places, Route fixing, return trip, log etc. if added, it would be wonderful. My compliments to Developer and web site freewarepocketpc. net.

Hello, sorry, I do not look often at this page. About Diamond touch, that seems a general issue. I had a friend who installed it on another HTC and it is definitly too slow too! For calibration, I always use the PC version (maybe you can try the java jar if you have linux) because it goes faster and also has no memory limit. Don't worry about the GPS, if you do'nt have it on your PC, it does not arm the pc program.

Ah, well. This program is unusably slow on the Diamond Touch. I gave it a good shot. Trying to calibrate on the Touch was impossible - it took over 15 minutes to enter in a data point before I gave up. Trying to upload a calibrated .mpr file from my desktop didn't have any effect on the PocketPC app. I look forward to v3 when this is fixed!

I installed a better file manager and was able to find it under Startup. This program sounds awesome, but has to be one of the hardest programs to install of all time. Why not have CourseLog auto-install ewe and launch ewe.exe for you?

I realize from http://courselog.free.fr/index.html that you need to run ewe once. However, once I install it on my Diamond Touch, I cannot find it anywhere on the device! Even if I do a file search. So where is ewe.exe located? Thanks.
