This is an emulator of the HP38G, HP39G, HP40G, HP48GX, HP48SX and HP49G
Hewlett-Packard graphing programmable scientific calculators for PocketPC (get the PalmOS version here, or the Windows version here). Since it is an
emulator, it works *EXACTLY* like the real thing.
Emulating the HP49G, it has:
- Over 2,300 built-in functions for algebra, geometry, trigonometry,
statistics/data analysis, calculus, science, engineering
- 2-D and 3-D graphing capabilities
- Algebraic and RPN data entry
- CAS (Computer Algebra System) for solving
equations symbolically
- Step-by-step mode for dynamic derivation, integration,
and linear algebra problem solving
The emulator can be customized by using different "skins" (known as KML scripts)
to change the appearance of the keyboard and display. Many are available on
the Emulators page at http://www.hpcalc.org
Get the skin shown above here.
Many other HP calculator simulators/emulators are freely available at the HP Museum (HP-16C, 25, 28, 35, 45 and 67).

Important! Installation Notes: There is sometimes a problem running Emu48CE the very first time. After selecting the KML, if there is no [OK] button to press, just bring up the virtual keyboard & press [Enter]. The emulator will then load. For faster performance go to File - Settings and uncheck"Authentic Calculator Speed" and "Delay key up"*Now works with PocketPC 2003!*(After installing, download the fixed HP48.EXE file from here and copy it over the HP48.EXE file on your PPC2002 or PPC2003)Many thanks to the author for his work!
