» Pocket Google 1.0 Description

PocketGoogle is a small application for PDA devices with Windows Mobile OS. It�s replacing functionality of Google.com available for PDA in stripped visual form here www.google.com/pda and allows you search the Web from standalone application. You can go to the selected URL, in this case original page content is converted to PDA version.
PocketGoogle is freeware.
PocketGoogle using Google API and to properly working you should obtain free Google Search API Key from http://www.google.com/apis site.
Requirements:

Windows Mobile 2003 SE or Windows Mobile 5.0
Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0

Download & install: You can download CAB file directly to PDA device or copy via ActiveSync application. After this, just open CAB file.

I tried this a while back and got same as Spartie. Deleted app on the spot. Since key is ludicrously long and to be honest I can just as simply use google search something on IE, OPERA, NETFRONT, OperaMini, Webby, hell even Minimo all one after the other and still take less time then typing the stupid 80 character key.

Pocket Google is essentially worthless. The site listed for an API key is incorrect. With some hunting around, I was able to log into the account setup page and set up an account, which resulted in an impossibly long key, over 80 characters. I tried to paste this key into pocket google, but it does not allow pasting the characters into the key entry space. At this point I gave up and deleted the application from my pocket pc.
